Abstract

The article analyses and discusses certain differences in theresponsibilities of the People's Courts for collecting documents and evidence whenresolving civil cases under the 2024 Law on the Organisation of People's Courts, incomparison with the 2014 Law on the Organisation of People's Courts and the 2015Civil Procedure Code. In addition, it summarises the courts' evidence-gatheringresponsibilities under the laws of several foreign jurisdictions in order to draw lessonsfor Vietnam.Keywords: Responsibility; collection of evidence; People's Courts; civil cases.
