Abstract

The article examines a number of theoretical issues and the internationallegal framework on international migration, both at the global level and in Vietnam.Based on an analysis of the current situation of international migration and anassessment of the international legal framework on migration in the context of globalchanges, the article proposes a number of solutions to prevent illegal internationalmigration and to strengthen the management of international migration in Vietnam. Inparticular, it focuses on the following issues: improving domestic laws such asnationality law (to reduce statelessness) and laws on preventing and combating illegalcross-border migration.Keywords: International migration; illegal migration; international labourmigration; human trafficking; refugee movements.
