Abstract

The right to erasure is one of the specific rights individuals haveconcerning their personal data, and it is encouraged by the European Data ProtectionSupervisor (EDPS) for application in the digital environment. Decree No. 13/2023/NĐ-CP on Personal Data Protection also recognizes the right to erasure as a fundamentalright of data subjects, indicating that Vietnamese law is gradually aligning withinternational standards in personal data protection in the digital environment.Therefore, clarifying certain aspects of this right is essential to enhance the effectivenessof legal implementation.
