Abstract

The article analyzes several issues related to two fundamental andimportant sources of law in Vietnam today: Normative legal documents and case law.Regarding normative legal documents, the article focuses on issues concerning theprinciples of application. As for case law, the article evaluates the current situationrelated to hierarchical value, legal validity, binding force, as well as the publication ofcase law and legal interpretation. Based on this analysis, the author offers someproposals to further improve the current system of legal sources in Vietnam.Keywords: Sources of law, normative legal documents, case law.
