Abstract

The 2023 Law on Cooperatives marks a significant shift in the legalregulation of cooperatives in Vietnam, including important changes to the provisions oncooperative members. In this article, the author analyses a number of provisions of thecurrent Law on Cooperatives concerning cooperative membership. On that basis, theauthor identifies shortcomings in the Vietnamese legal framework and proposes severalsolutions to improve the regulation of cooperative members.Keywords: Cooperative members; cooperatives; legal regulation of cooperativemembership.
