Abstract

The prosecution, as a relatively recent state function, faces greaterdifficulties compared to other functions of the modern Vietnamese State. In addition tohighlighting the different stages of formation and development of institutions thatundertake the function of prosecution, and tracing their historical evolution, the articlealso analyzes the forms and measures that should be adopted to supervise and improvethe exercise of that power, thereby making an important contribution to building a fair,democratic and civilised society.Keywords: Prosecutorial power; control of prosecutorial power; content and formsof control over the power to prosecute.
