Abstract

This article clarifies both the potential benefits and drawbacks of a robottax for a country’s economy and society; considers how “robot” should be defined andwhat the notion of a robot tax entails; surveys international debates and policy stanceson such taxation; and, on that basis, offers suggestions for Vietnam’s futureconsideration of a robot tax.Keywords: Robots; artificial intelligence; robot tax.
